Balance to Buy™ is now available for Sales Reps even if their company has not yet enrolled in The BIG Network™!

As we approach working with 50 brands in The BIG Network™, we see the scope of work to be done is still incredibly broad. While these top brands generate a significant portion of the total sales in many stores, there are still hundreds of companies with whom we are not currently working – and therefore, whose inventory planning and management have ample room to improve.

Not everyone in our industry can easily see past the comfort of traditional vendor/retailer sales relationships to the benefits of data-sharing as a means to strengthen and enhance that dynamic. Some vendors want concrete proof of adaptability and ROI before investing in a partnership with us, and that’s not an unreasonable ask.

These companies often have sales reps who are ready, willing, and able to utilize the platform, maximize their business, and provide that due diligence, but they have not been given the chance to do so – until now. Our newest initiative, SalesRep Direct, will give these forward-thinking & high-performing sales reps the opportunity to work directly with their retailer’s data in much the same way they would have if their company had signed up with us.

SalesRep Direct gives retailers the opportunity to work with these sales reps directly, without requiring the blanket participation of their company at large. Some suppliers may balk at this, but BIG is committed to solving the industry’s primary issues – poorly performing inventory, a lack of proper planning, reactive inventory management and unstable cash flow– which will remain problems until someone takes the time and effort to address them.

Sales reps who are willing to do that work typically don’t have great insights into what’s happening within their retailer’s cases, and we can fix that. With Balance to Buy™ data, any sales rep will be able to analyze and help guide their retail-partners based on sell-through and on-hand inventory. We receive consistent feedback from retailers that the sales reps using Balance to Buy™ are better partners and better salespeople – they wish all of their reps had the same tools, training and advantages! How it works

When a company signs up with The BIG Network™, their sales reps are able to see the data for those jewelers who turned on permission to share with that supplier. The company’s reps can only see their own brand’s data of course, and only at wholesale dollars. SalesRep Direct will also require retailers to turn on permission to share their data, but with the Sales Rep, not the company they represent. In the event a rep sells multiple lines – a bridal and fashion line for example – they will be able to see the data for each line from each retail-partner, and only those lines. Should they leave the employ of the vendor in question, that permission would get turned off.
