Did you know that we have created Vendor Style Guides to identify best practices for entering vendor style numbers in your POS system? Because we process several billions of dollars worth of sales and inventory data daily, we have noticed a concerning trend in some of the data feeds: a failure to correctly identify vendors and/or vendor style numbers.

You may be wondering why it’s important to enter vendor style numbers consistently. Firstly, it makes the re-order process more accurate and more efficient. It also helps you (and your vendors) analyze style performance with ease. Staying as consistent as possible while entering vendor style numbers helps to support the partnership between you & your vendors.

We have made the Vendor Style Guides easy to access for quick reference.

1. When logged into Balance to Buy, hover on the Learning Center header, and click on Retailer Resources.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Vendor Style Guides.

3. You will then be directed to a page that has the Vendor Style Guides for ARMS, DCIT, Edge, JCS, Jewel Mate, Light Speed & Shopkeeper. Click on your POS system and you will be able to view Vendor Style Guides for vendors that are a part of The BIG Network.
